President's Spring Message
What a beautiful sunshine day! The best time to start preparing for croquet!
BICC will be at the Lion's Home Show April 24-26. If you would like to volunteer for a 2 hour shift at the BICC table please contact me. Anyone who is interested in knowing more about BICC or joining the Club is invited to an Open House on May 9 at the Club. Please volunteer to help out at the Open House by contacting Shelley Widdis.
Below you will find a link to the 2020 Spring Newsletter. The newsletter lists all the opportunities for tournament play. Thanks to the Tournament Committee for bringing an exciting lineup for 2020. There is a mixture of 1-day fun tournaments, a 3-day doubles tournament, block play, the multiple-day international tournaments and finally the Fall Classic.
The season kicks off on May 16th with the 1 day Doubles Tournament. I encourage everyone including new members to participate in this fun tournament. Contact the Tournament Director Rob McCrea to sign up. He will make 2 person teams made up of an experienced player with a new/less experienced player (Hi/Lo). There is a 30 player limit.
The President's Reception follows the tournament on May 16th from 5-7 at the Bayfield Town Hall.
The tournament list/Spring Newsletter can be found here:Spring Newsletter 2020. Feel free to sign up with the Director any time. The signup process will be different this year - no signup at the President's party, The Tournament Committee will hand out cards with the contact info for each tournament director/tournament. Please ask any of the Tournament Directors about the tournaments. Rob McCrea, Laurien Trowell, Deb Moulton, David Druiett, Jerry Selk and Dave MacLaren are at your service.
Lessons and skills training will be available - more details to follow.
The Board Members are available any time. Please speak with me, Dave MacLaren, Karen Dalton, John Davies or Nick Howell.
Looking forward to another great croquet season..... Arlene
